The Boston Massacre
On the night of March 5, 1770 a group of British soldiers opened fire and shot into a group of colonists in Boston, Massachusetts. It started as a group of boys taunting the soldeirs, then more people joined in. The boys were throwing stick and snowballs at the soldiers. The soldiers were being harrassed because the colonists didn't like the townshend acts. The Townshend acts were acts that gave Great Britian the right impose taxes on goods such as glass, lead , paint, paper and tea. Anyway, the small argument infront of the Custom house on King street turn into a gory fight between the two sides. However, it may have seemed that this so called 'massacre' was unfair because the colonists were unarmed as bullets came flying at them from the soldiers. In the end, five men were killed.
